Marketing Operations Associate

Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)

Department Overview:

FPA’s Client Service marketing collateral department provides support to prospects and clients, portfolio managers, sales staff, and relationship managers by performing operational and administrative functions for our strategies, funds, and/or managed accounts.  The type of support generally includes sourcing, creating, and delivering data and marketing materials, supporting the launch of new product collateral, managing the operational diligence process for prospects and clients, supporting the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, public website, and other marketing and client related software, and supporting the internal coordination and completion of ad hoc/day-to-day projects and requests.  

Responsibilities of This Role:

  • Assist with managing and overseeing the workflow process to track and report the delivery of marketing materials and client communication efforts firm-wide
  • Support the production of marketing materials, specifically:
    • Regular production of marketing collateral, presentations, and communications across products including Public Funds (Mutual Funds, ETF’s, Closed End List Funds), Separately Managed Accounts (SMA’s) and Private Funds
    • Design/creation of templates to improve branding/messaging of marketing materials
    • Establishment/support of effective quality control processes for data and materials production
  • Website Management
    • Support updates to the public website with information, data, and ad hoc requests
    • Research peer/external websites to survey market best practices for feature/functionality, content production, branding, etc.
    • Coordinate updates of the Content Management System, Sitefinity
  • Work closely with Change Management to identify opportunities to improve business processes and facilitate the implementation of positive change throughout the department. Responsibilities include:
    • Build and maintain project plans and supporting project materials
    • Help facilitate regular project routines from project inception through completion
    • Coordinate and work closely across internal groups, departments, and stakeholders to support internal projects that cross multiple departments and/or functions
    • Work with third party providers to implement strategic and operational initiatives
  • Support the management of internal Client Service databases or applications. This may include maintenance of the email marketing database, marketing materials tracker, and/or CRM system.

  • Familiarity with investment products and terminology/concepts

Requirements:

  • 3-5 plus years work-related experience preferred, financial services experiences desired
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with project management and/or process redesign a plus
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Visio and other graphic software a plus
  • Experience with marketing and CRM software a plus
  • Experience with website maintenance and design a plus

 

This position will work on a hybrid model based in Los Angeles (preferred), however, full remote work in another geographic location may be considered on a case-by-case basis. 

Base salary range:  $80,000-105,000 + discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package.  Base salary will be determined by applicant’s skills, experience, geographic location, and pay equity considerations.
