Associate Analyst – Contrarian Value

Los Angeles, California


We are seeking a generalist Associate Research Analyst to join our Contrarian Value group focused on a value-oriented, contrarian, and long-term horizon investment strategy. The position will support the investment process through short-term project work focused on fundamental bottom-up research analysis across capital structure, geographies, sectors and market caps. Candidates will be expected to fill the position for two years, and will learn the foundational skills required to become an equity analyst in the asset management industry. The successful research analyst will be well rounded, a quick study, self-starting, numerate, with strong critical reasoning and intellectual curiosity to support and validate investment theses by conducting due diligence and collecting distinctive information.   


Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years’ experience in accounting, investment banking, investment management, or consulting industries. Passage of at least the Leve 1 CFA exam, in addition to understanding and experience in accounting including income statements, balance sheets and financial statement analysis are highly preferred.
